This project is actively working for SDGs 4 (Quality Education), SDGs 11 (Sustainable city and Communities) organized together with a local NPO, Bizan Daigaku (B.D.) since 2019. They organize short term workcamps with NICE from 2013 and have many types of projects, one of the projects started visiting a primary school/ kindergarten this year in Tokushima city. There is a kind of problem that the children who live in countryside face to have few opportunity to communicate with foreign people compared with city because of the lack of number of foreigners. They want to change the situation and activate both of children and the situation of education for cultural exchange through having such a local activities with volunteers.

Since this area is close from big cities Osaka and Nagoya, there were plans to build a golf field and an incinerator, but local people stopped those plans by the movement called National Trust. They founded the group in 1996 to collect donations to buy and protect lands, to accept people who want to enjoy nature, to maintain forests, to create a pond for dragonflies, to host national corps meeting, etc. SATOYAMA needs to be maintained by humans for its biodiversity and water adjustment function. Our ancestors had protected and utilized the forest in ecological and sustainable way, which was neglected by modernization. We will try to revive it by global voluntary power!!

Volunteer will be divided to work in rural school as English teachers, preparing lessons with
the teacher at the school (do not expect this point too much even the teachers are also shy
to speak out).
Creative teaching English, Non-formal education tools can be used for creative teaching;
volunteer is not required teaching certificate but requiring to be creative. Aims of creative
teaching is giving the chance for students in the school and local community to have an
opportunity to communicate with different language and learn difference culture.
Volunteer would use games, songs, storytelling, and dancing. Also, it should focus on

Intercultural and Language (ICL) – Songkhla, learning and sharing the intercultural and
language still are the main purpose. Volunteers will share and exchange culture, language,
and knowledge with the local community and students in the school.
English as the global language and intercultural learning are important for local Thai people
to understand and be for global citizens. English is also the gateway to open mind and
knowledge. The project was created by VSA Thailand in 2011 and has been successful for
eight years. Former volunteers came to give the opportunity for children in schools and the
local community. Many local people improved their English skills through exchanging with
international volunteers, or at least they try to speak the English language more and dare to
face and work with the foreigner even though they cannot speak English. Moreover,
volunteers’ activities impacted the local community. They used to stay lively and trusty with
the foreigner. Local people have a chance to learn, accept, and adopt the ways of life with
the different cultures.
Songkhla is a VSA basement, there are many schools that require international volunteers to
teach in their school. So, volunteer expect to work in rural school which ready on duration of

This will take place during late evening and possibly into the night. students from kindergarten (2-6 years old), pratomsuksa 1-6 (7-12 years old). VSA has sent
volunteers to this School since 2022.
*Nakhon Ratchasima province or ‘Korat’ the ancient name that Thai people always call this
province unofficually because of shorter.

Children s Development is one of the major programs at VIN s Integrated Community Development Approach. The Goal of the Children s development program is to protect the rights of all children by providing them access to basic quality education, developing their life skills (creativity, leadership etc.) and providing access to health and hygiene services. VIN has different projects under children s development program such as Children s Clubs (CC), Early Childhood Development (ECD), School Attendance (Teacher Development, Parenting Education, School Infrastructure Development, and Child Sponsorship), and Child Care. Even these days in Nepal, schools are focused mainly on examination and are not doing enough to develop life skills like creativity and leadership for children. Teachers only focus on reading and writing U? 1/2 rote learning. Creativity and individual differences in children are not explored. Due to the busy work schedule of parents, most of the children do not have an opportunity to socialize and be creative. These types of camps are so essential to provide life skills development opportunities to children aged between 5-12 years old. We work only with disadvantaged communities as these families cannot afford to take their children to holidays during their Winter and Summer breaks. Children don t have a proper structure and environment at home or a school to develop their innate talents. Children s camp (during winter and summer breaks) is one of the best places to explore their natural skills such as creativity and leadership. In this work camp, national and international volunteers will facilitate different types of fun and creative activities for the children where VIN works. Objectives: U? 1/2 To provide unique opportunities for overall development (social, emotional, physical, mental, creativity) and provide a fun time for children aged between 5 and 12 utilizing their vacation period. U? 1/2 To promote friendship, understanding, and solidarity among local young volunteers and cross-national volunteers. Volunteer will be divided to work in rural school as English teachers, preparing lessons with
the teacher at the school (do not expect this point too much even the teachers are also shy

Creative teaching English, Non-formal education tools can be used for creative teaching;
volunteer is not required teaching certificate but requiring to be creative. Aims of creative
teaching is giving the chance for students in the school and local community to have an
opportunity to communicate with different language and learn difference culture.

Intercultural and Language (ICL) – Songkhla, learning and sharing the intercultural and
language still are the main purpose. Volunteers will share and exchange culture, language,
and knowledge with the local community and students in the school.
English as the global language and intercultural learning are important for local Thai people
to understand and be for global citizens. English is also the gateway to open mind and
knowledge. The project was created by VSA Thailand in 2011 and has been successful for
eight years. Former volunteers came to give the opportunity for children in schools and the
local community. Many local people improved their English skills through exchanging with
international volunteers, or at least they try to speak the English language more and dare to
face and work with the foreigner even though they cannot speak English. Moreover,
volunteers’ activities impacted the local community. They used to stay lively and trusty with
the foreigner. Local people have a chance to learn, accept, and adopt the ways of life with
the different cultures.
Songkhla is a VSA basement, there are many schools that require international volunteers to
teach in their school. So, volunteer expect to work in rural school which ready on duration of

students from kindergarten (2-6 years old), pratomsuksa 1-6 (7-12 years old). VSA has sent
volunteers to this School since 2022.
*Nakhon Ratchasima province or ‘Korat’ the ancient name that Thai people always call this
province unofficually because of shorter.

If you are interested in topics such as climate change, waste management, animal protection and sustainability, and you also love taking photographs, making videos or want to develop your photography skills, then this project is for youWhile developing artistic and technical photography skills, you will be focusing on environmental and sustainability issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits facilitated by SEEDS. One of our aims is to help create more environmentally aware consumers and travellersYou will visit local projects on environment and conservation. These may include hands-on activities or guided visits. Some examples include outdoor cleanup tasks, a geothermal power plant, a local fauna and/or flora exhibition or an outdoor Icelandic culture museum. Some of these activities are dependent on conditions such as weather, as well as availability or restrictions of our partner organisations.You will also have time to put the theory about photography into practice, walking around and exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant are selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods and laptops if possible.SEEDS programme combines learning, sharing, hands-on activities, getting to know Iceland, its culture, having fun, exploring the city and its attractions, as stunning natural attractions in possible excursions. Participants should prepare to share environmental issues from their countries and should be ready to spend time outdoors walking medium distances during activities and sightseeing. Note this project is a learning/sharing camp and not a standard workcamp. This project has a smaller volunteer work part and puts a bigger emphasis on the personal learning process than on the community impact.In this project SEEDS will organise a night photography (Northern Lights) workshop in the city or in the vicinity of Reykjavik. This will take place during late evening and possibly into the night. Northern lights are a natural phenomenon depending on solar activity and meteorological conditions; we cannot guarantee you will see northern lights, but the night photography workshop will be organised anyway.

SEEDS participants will stay in a house in Reykjavik. The facilities are basic with a kitchen, showers, and a washing machine. Everyone is expected to show consideration for their companions. Participants will sleep in shared rooms or dormitories.Volunteers will receive food supplies and will be in charge of cooking and cleaning. Please note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music, games or movies from your country for the intercultural evening. Please be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.
Requisiti e materiali
It may be very cold and/or rainy, so we recommend bringing warm and waterproof clothes (underlayers, overcoats, scarves, gloves and hats) and good walking shoes, as some of the activities take place outdoors.
