Volunteers will plant saplings in greenhouses and collect tea leaves in tea gardens. They also will be there to encourage young people living in Ardeşen about volunteering. Working in the harvest of tea leaves is the first step in the journey of black tea. During this voluntary work volunteers will learn the black tea from leaves to in the glass.

The camp will take place in Ardeşen, Rize. Ardeşen has a population of approximately 43 thousand people. Volunteers will have the opportunity to visit the natural beauties of Ardeşen in their free time and will be guests in events with local people.

The main tasks will be:
- The setting up of the stage, stalls and tents on the site of the festival, as well as the disassembly at the end.
- Assistance in different areas: bar, stage, organisation, catering etc.
You will also have time to enjoy the festival yourself! Volunteers should be flexible enough to work long and unusual hours – and enjoy music! Speaking or understanding basic German will be a plus. Your group might be asked to give a short presentation of their workcamp on stage!

With 600,000 inhabitants, Stuttgart is the state-capital of Baden-Württemberg. From museums, to castles and parks, to an afternoon spent shopping, this city offers something for everyone to see! Within a short train ride, you can also enjoy the variety of nature around Stuttgart. The city is surrounded by beautiful vineyards and hills. You could also visit some of the other interesting towns in the area, like Tübingen (approximately 1 hour away) and Ludwigsburg (approximately 30 minutes away), both accessible by public transportation.

In the first two days, you will be hosted in a cultural centre in Stuttgart, where there is a kitchen and sanitary facilities. You will be sleeping in the building’s hall, where a stage is. We advise sightseeing in the first two days (Monday and Tuesday). On the third day, you will move to the site of the festival. There you will be camping in a big tent, all together. Please bring your own camping mat and sleeping bag. We encourage you to bring your own tent, if possible!
Food will be available through the food stands, until the end of the camp, so you will not have to cook for yourselves. Sanitary facilities are given, but be aware of very basic festival standards: You will most likely be able to use the showers in the youth centre nearby, otherwise only cold, outdoor showers available and there is limited privacy compared to “regular” accommodations!

In summer, Stuttgart hosts a variety of music festivals and events. One of those festivals – called “Umsonst & Draussen” (free of charge & outdoors) – will take place in the middle of Vaihingen, an outer city student- district of Stuttgart. The festival will run for three days, from 2nd to 4th of August (www.ud-stuttgart.de). It is the biggest non-commercial music-politics-culture festival in Stuttgart. “Umsonst & Draussen” is organized in a participative way, where everyone can come and take part. It has been running in that unique and quite anarchic way for over 40 years now! Since 2013, the festival has been hosting workcamps and the international volunteers have become an important part in the festival organisation. By helping to organize this communal festival, you are contributing to a sustainable and inclusive community.

Volunteers are invited to continue the project GARDEN OF ENVIRONMENT – FIELDS for PLAYING AND LEARNING at our gardening land. It will offer different stations where visitors can learn and experience about nature and sustainability … very creative, surprising and funny! Volunteers will support the host in their Garden-, construction- and landscape design work. There will be physical work, using tools and working with materials like wood, rocks, soil. You will work outdoors most of the time. Last year a pond was created with the help of the volunteers! Volunteers who like to exercise can make firewood. Every year, volunteers are invited to get to know the local Perma Culture Garden and do some gardening there. While looking after the plants, there is the possibility to harvest fruits. Therefore, we are looking for 12 motivated young people who are interested in handicrafts, advanced training and gardening/landscaping.
Volunteers will get some insight in the principles of Perma Culture: how to create a productive garden which grows plants and feeds animals in a way that only a minimum input of energy and resources are required to achieve maximum sustainability to the environment? Interesting ecological and cultural projects/information from your country is very welcome.

The project will take place in a famous river hill and cultural landscape in the middle of Saxony at the foot of the Erzgebirge (“Ore Mountains”), 35 km from Dresden, 15 km from Freiberg.
The afternoons, evenings and weekends are free for personal use: sports, fieldtrips in the region and to Freiberg, swimming.
On the last Saturday, volunteers will join concert in the Farmhouse: Musician Frank Kaiser from Dresden will perform his atmospheric music (https://kaisermusic.de/). If you are talented as well, bring an instrument with you – drums and guitars can be provided.

Your help is needed to prepare space and facilities for the 18th Fokus Festival. An alternative 2-day festival (15th – 16th August) with several stages, many workshops, a speakers corner, food and drinks! Please watch one of the aftermovies on YouTube (@SecondAttempteV) to get an impression of the Festival. You are invited to work together in international teams, composed of employees of RABRYKA and other volunteers from Goerlitz. During working hours you can create fancy furniture for the visitors, colorful decoration for the stages and the festival area, do some gardening or lead through your own ideas. Whether you like painting, crafting, working, gardening, cooking or designing- whatever you like, we’ll find a task for you. It would be great if the group could contribute something special for the Fokus Festival, for example decorating a graffiti wall. During the festival itself volunteers will offer support by filling shifts at the bar, the backstage control or as a runner. Goerlitz is situated at the very east of Germany. After WWII, it was divided and the area in the east of the river Neisse is now the autonomous town Zgorzelec and part of Poland. Volunteers will get a guided tour through Goerlitz and will learn about its eventful history. Moreover, you will learn about the current network of initiatives in the city, which offers a wide range of cultural and social work. In addition, there will be free time for a cycling tour to a lake nearby, bonfire evenings, a party and more.

"RABRYKA" is a unique space for youth culture and social life, situated in an abandoned factory ground. You can see it as an open space for all kinds of youth and social culture. Currently it offers a wide range of possibilities for kids, youth and adults: it unites different projects in one house, e.g. a youth club, a workshop and makerspace, intercultural or cultural education or urban gardening. There is enough inside and outdoor space for gatherings and sports, sharing things and opinions, playing music and partying together and … much more! The biggest event organized by the RABRYKA is the FOKUS Festival, in which you will also participate.
The head organisation of the RABRYKA is the “Second Attempt e.V.”, which highly motivates people to develop the civil society of Goerlitz. Everyone is invited to join meetings that focus on the vision of a society, which respects the values of tolerance, equality and cross-cultural empathy. RABRYKA is a fictional word connecting the Polish word for factory – fabryka and the first letter of red. Red are the bricks of the buildings of the former factory.

This project is inviting volunteers to deeply involve themselves in the renovation of the historic Yenping town street, and to experience the local atmosphere by repairing old houses and participating in agricultural life within 12 days in Xiluo Township. Xiluo Township, located in the middle of Taiwan, has a 360-year history and is the most northern district of Yunlin County. It is situated closest to the Zhuo Shui River, the longest river in Taiwan, and is known for its production of rice, fruits, and vegetables. The nearby river was used for transportation of people and goods for over 100 years. During the Japanese colonial era, Xiluo was planned to be a modern and role model town. In order to cooperate with the street-widening process, architectural facades were removed and buildings heights were altered. From 1925 to 1945, many stylish buildings were constructed on Yenping Street, with various unique architectural styles. In just a few years, an 840-meter stretch of the street saw the construction of hundreds of Art Deco houses that contain the essence of Xiluo s history and culture. Today, walking along Yenping Historical Street, visitors can see 142 decorated historical houses, most of which were built over 90 years ago. A century ago, Yenping Street was the downtown area and shops were busy with visitors, but now many of the houses are empty and old. The residents have moved with their families to other cities away from Xiluo, and Yenping Street has become quiet. Thanks to the Community Renaissance movement conducted by the Louyoung Foundation and the local government, the street has become fabulous. Over the past 7 years, the Foundation has invited many cultural groups and artists to stay in Xiluo for an extended period and host different performances. They have also hosted 7 international work camps that focused on renovating heritage houses. In 2022, Liao Jih-chou and Liao Jih-kang, overseas hometown acquaintances, donated two old houses (No. 110 and No. 112) on Yanping Road to the Louyoung Education and Culture Foundation in accordance with their parents wishes. No. 110 was the former Te-Chun Dental Clinic, and the Foundation has gradually entered the dilapidated house for cleaning and restoration. At the same time, the history of the Liao family was researched and artifacts collected. Invitations were also extended to resident artists to use their art to enter the old house. During the first week of the volunteer project, participants will repair the old houses (No. 110 and No. 112) on Yanping Road. Afterwards, they will clean the nearby garden of the local museum, experience agricultural life in Xiluo, and participate in a artistic creation workshop. We will stay in Xiluo Backpacker House (No.81). The house is near Xiluo Cultural Museum, there are comfortable beds, air conditioner, toilet, hot shower and kitchen in the House . Volunteer will have a great time here for sure.The backpacker house belongs to Rotary Club of Xiluo. They always welcome the volunteers and because of their kindness, we have to keep good management (to always keep clean, no smoking inside building, etc.).During the project, we will mainly use bicycles for transportation, so please ensure that you are comfortable with bike riding. We will be cooking our own meals, but there will also be opportunities to eat at local restaurants or purchase packed meals. Internet access is available at the Luoyoung Foundation office.

Volunteers will focus on revitalizing the parish garden, including terrain adjustments, cutting overgrown vegetation, removing unsuitable trees, and mowing the grass. Location: The workcamp will be held at the Early Baroque rectory in Blansko, near Kaplice, located along the Malše River at the foot of the Novohradské Mountains. Perched atop a hill, the rectory offers a panoramic view of Kaplice and stands next to the Church of St. George. While the current building dates back to the 17th century, its history extends to medieval times. The site also features farm buildings, including granaries and barns, as well as a spacious rectory garden. The nearby town of Kaplice, just 1.5 km away, provides amenities such as a cinema, library, restaurants, sports facilities, and shops.
Leisure time: In their free time, volunteers can explore the nearby town of Kaplice, just 1.5 km away, offering a cinema, library, restaurants, sports facilities, and shops. For nature lovers, a scenic trail runs along the Černá River leading to the Hradiště hill lookout tower. Those interested in history can visit several nearby historical sites, with the stunning town of Český Krumlov only about 25 km away.
Study part: A planned excursion to Tichá Fortress will include a lecture on its reconstruction, providing insight into historical preservation. Volunteers will also attend a lecture on historical paintings and their restoration, gaining a deeper understanding of traditional art conservation. Additionally, there is a possibility of an excursion to the Velešín Museum, where they can explore local folk culture and heritage.

Volunteers will be accommodated directly in the parish building, staying in rooms that accommodate 3-4 people each. Hygiene facilities include two toilets and one shower within the building. Volunteers should bring a sleeping bag, towel and indoor slippers. The accommodation provides Wi-Fi and a microwave, but there is no washing machine. Meals will be prepared communally at the parish, with volunteers taking turns assisting in the kitchen. Ornezan is a small village in the Gers, surrounded by rolling hills and valleys. The landscape is shaped by agriculture, with fields, lakes, and winding paths weaving between farms and forests. The Gers is a region where life moves at a slower pace, with a strong Gascon identity still alive today. You might even hear a few words of Occitan at the market or in local conversations. Your work days will be balanced with moments of relaxation. When the summer heat peaks, you can cool off in nearby lakes. Throughout the season, numerous village festivals take place, featuring open-air meals, dances, and performances. History enthusiasts can follow in the footsteps of pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago or explore sites like the Gallo-Roman villa of Seviac. And, of course, Gers’ gastronomy is an experience in itself! Among the local specialties, you can savor Lectoure melons, apple croustade, hearty Gascon vegetable soup, and delicious sheep and goat cheeses produced in the region.

You will be accommodated in individual tents, with access to toilets, showers and kitchen. The group will be sharing the cleaning chores and preparing meals together. The budget will be allocated to the group leader and you will participate in the grocery shopping and in the preparation of meals, prioritizing vegetarian products from the market and local producers. Please bring your sleeping bag and mat. You will wash your clothes and other items manually. Wifi is not available, French volunteers can share their internet connections via a hotspot.

The volunteers will help to build-up the festival area with tents, light and sound equipment and decoration. The Festival is 5 days ilong support needed: keep the area clean, sell drinks and food, join the kitchen team and prepare food for guests and staff. Afterwards the participants will also help to re-build the area. The working hours may be sometimes more than 6h and weekend are also working days, but there will be a compensatory time-off.
During the festival you will also get in touch with the international film makers and German locals. Of course, you will also have time to watch some movies. Stay tuned on the project partners homepage and fb-page to get informed about the program.

The city of Weiterstadt offers about 24.000 people a home and is one of the youngest cities in the Rhein-Main-area (measured by the average age of the population). Weiterstadt is located around 20 kilometers south of Frankfurt, has a shopping mall, a station and direct access to the highway A5. Local clubs in all districts offer people of all ages lots of possibilities for free-time activities. The castle in Braunshardt and the recreational areas in Weiterstadt and Grafenhausen are popular.

Your accommodation will be basic. You will sleep in tents, please bring a sleeping bag and and- a camping mat with you. Showers and toilets are in a building next to your accommodation. The festival area is near a forest. There can be bugs, bees and wasps! Food will be provided by the project partner and camp participants will join the kitchen team in rotation principle.

You always wanted to know how festivals work? You are very interested in cinema and movies?
During hot and sunny summer days, there was no audience inside of the cinemas and the local cinema of Weiterstadt (KoKi) decided to move outside with one of their movies .The Open Air Filmfest Weiterstadt was born with 58 shown movies in 1977. During the years more films had been shown (up to 200), the festival lasted more and more days (5 days), the audience increased (up to 1500), the open air screen got enlarged (72 sqm), the afternoon presentations got extended in a circus tent, the area was getting bigger. That means a lot of more logistic and man power is needed. Therefore, the help of the workcamp volunteers will be very appreciated.

ACCOMMODATION: SEEDS participants will stay in a house in Reykjavik. The facilities are basic with an equipped kitchen, dining and living room, bathrooms, showers and a washing machine. Participants will receive food supplies and be in charge of the cooking and cleaning activities. Note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. PROJECT: This is the eighteenth year (since 2008) that SEEDS has organised a series of International Photography projects and we began organising these camps for teenagers in the year 2010. Throughout the year, participants from all over the world come to Iceland for an immersive photography-focused learning camp. SEEDS coordinators help participants to develop their unique photographic skills through workshops and feedback sessions on technical settings, compositional considerations, and creating conceptual frameworks that highlight each participant s individual style. Participants will have time to put the theory about photography into practice, exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant will be selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods, and laptops, if possible. While learning about photography, the participants have the opportunity to explore Icelandic culture through active participation: capturing it, engaging with it, and showcasing their work throughout the camp. One of our goals is to empower young people to use photography to highlight environmental and cultural subjects and issues.Participants should be ready to spend time outdoors walking medium distances during activities and working within a flexible schedule. Participants will be photographing in their free time outside of workshop hours with images to be discussed at group feedback sessions.This camp is open to participants aged 16 to 20. During their stay, SEEDS organises a programme that combines learning, sharing, getting to know Iceland and its culture, and having fun while exploring the city and some of the most stunning natural attractions in the Golden Circle and Reykjanes Peninsula excursions.

These cleanup tasks may be arranged in partnership with the above mentioned organisations or run solely by SEEDS. We also aim to involve the local community, so some of our events may be open to the public. We hope participants will learn how to plan and carry out their own trash cleaning projects back at home. This project is based on similar activities around the world, where outstanding results have been achieved with volunteers. Volunteers can choose one of the two options below, included as hands-on volunteering activity in the camp:A day trip combining a visit to the Hellisheioi geothermal power plant, a trash collection in the area, and the Hot River Hike, a hike up a valley filled with hot springs where one can bathe. A day trip to the Reykjanes Peninsula, combined with a coastal cleanup in the area.Please note that all activities are subject to weather conditions and the availability of our partners.This camp combines learning, sharing, hands-on work and fun. No previous experience is needed. Volunteers should prepare to share environmental issues from their countries and be ready to spend time outdoors, walking medium to long distances during the cleanups, and during other activities such as sightseeing. The accommodation is located an hour drive south-east from ReykjavEk. The house serves as an environmental-educational centre and sits under IngElfsfjall, The Mountain of IngElfur, with a view of EyjafjallajEkull where the volcanic eruptions began in March and April 2010. The place is registered as natural Icelandic heritage; the nature, vegetation and birdlife is rich in variety and quantity. The volunteers can enjoy outdoor activities in a peaceful and beautiful location with a small stream and a pond nearby. Hiking trails with maps about cultural heritage can be found throughout the area, which is a popular attraction among both foreign and local visitors. The nearest town, Selfoss, only 10 minutes-drive away, with 6500 inhabitants, is a centre of commerce and small industries where you find a geothermal swimming pool, shops, museums, cafEs and bars.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

Get involved in the conservation of medieval heritage in the small town of Allegre, a small historical village in the middle of Auvergne region. This year, we will celebrate the 15th anniversary of Allegre?s workcamps.
You will participate in the development of the Medieval Garden, which started a few years ago and is pursued by volunteers every summer. The purpose of this year's workcamp is to build an elevated walkway to connect the track to the new entrance, and to install wooden barriers as a guardrail to prevent people walking on the pathway to fall out.
The garden is ideally situated at the foot of the village ramparts, high up, with a beautiful viewpoint! It is made up of several areas: a vegetable garden, an orchard and a small patch for medicinal and magical herbs called "carre des simples".

Allegre (around 1000 inhabitants) is a small town located in the Haute-Loire County in the Auvergne region, 30 km from Le-Puy-en-Velay city, in the Natural Regional Park of Livradois-Forez. Its alleyways are picturesque with red roofed houses, built on the slopes of an extinct volcano, the "Mont Bar". From the preserved ruins of the Castle at the top end of the village you can overlook hundreds of kilometres of countryside!
You will have the chance to go swimming in lakes, attend local celebrations and take part in outdoor leisure activities.

You will be accompanied by two camp leaders throughout your stay.
Your accommodation will be located at the municipal stadium, near the campsite, which is a 20 minute walk from the village. You will sleep in an individual tent (provided by Concordia) set up in the grass, near the facilities. You will have a kitchen in a room inside the stadium and a large collective tent for socializing.
The group will be sharing the different tasks of collective life together. The budget will be allocated to the group leaders and you will participate in the preparation of meals, run errands from the market and local producers. Wi-Fi available in the campsite and in the village. Laundry will be hand-washed.

Take part in the renovation of the Sauldre canal basin, a natural and historical heritage in the heart of the Sologne, in Lamotte-Beuvron, about two hours away from Paris.
The basin used to be a harbor and a manoeuvring area for barges carrying rock cargoes.
Located in the town centre, the basin and the esplanade around it are in the heart of a development project led by the town council.
In the continuity of a workcamp organised last year, your mission will be to repair the stone riprap that composes the structure of the basin. You will need to remove the weed from the banks and fix the disjointed stones by using traditional masonry techniques.
Some of the work will be performed from a floating platform. Even if the water is low in summer, it is essential to know how to swim to participate in this workcamp.

Only two hours from the south of Paris, surrounded by woods and ponds which embellish the Sologne, the town of Lamotte-Beuvron is known as the home of the largest equestrian centre in Europe. It is appreciated for its gastronomy, especially for the famous apple dessert: the very tasty Tarte Tatin. You will undoubtedly have the opportunity to discover this sweet dessert while visiting the village in your free time. The city of Orleans, the regional capital of the area, is also easily accessible by public transport.

You will have your own tent (provided by Concordia), on the field of the stadium close to the House of Sports, where you will have access to sanitary facilities, showers, as well as a kitchen and a common room. You will share various collective tasks (cleaning, activities, etc.). A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you will help with shopping and cooking, prioritizing healthy, local products. Feel free to bring your own recipes, it's a great opportunity to share your history and culture with the group. A washing machine and a laundromat will be available (it is still recommended to bring 2 weeks of clothes). WIFI will be available in the town hall or through hotspot.

The town of Lamotte-Beuvron has been working for years to rehabilitate the Sauldre canal. This is the fifth time that a workcamp is organised here. Built on the orders of Napoleon III, the canal drains into the Lamotte-Beuvron's basin. Abandoned almost a century ago, the canal has now become a tourist trail, located both on the equestrian route linking Chambord to Sancerre and on the Grande Randonnee trail no. 31, which is very popular amongst nature lovers.

Get involved in the restoration of a traditional wash-house in Nogent-sur-Vernisson, a small town in the Gatinais region known for its remarkable landscape!
Several washhouses are located along the stream that flows through the village. As part of a project to enhance the value of this heritage, the municipality wants to restore a wash-house which has been degraded.
Your mission will be to rebuild some parts of the typical tiled roof. You will also have to restore wooden parts and the traditional wall coating. In this way, you will help to give to this heritage a new life, for the delight of residents and curious passers-by.

The city of Nogent-sur-Vernisson is located at about a hundred kilometres south of Paris, in the heart of the Gatinais orleanais, known for its large national forests and its farmland. It is a territory with a very rich history. In addition to the National Arboretum of Les Barres, you will be able to discover the towns and castles of the region during your free time, especially the towns of Montargis and Gien, which are easily reachable by public transportation. The city of Paris is also accessible by train.

The accommodation will be a 15-minute walk away from the work camp area. You will have an individual tent (provided by Concordia). Inside the municipal gymnasium, you will have access to toilets and showers. A kitchen will also be available for you to prepare your meals. The whole space will be at your disposal for your activities and to retreat in case of bad weather. Together with the animation team, you will participate in grocery-shopping and cooking, prioritising local and seasonal products and vegetarian meals. A washing machine or a laundromat will be available (it is still recommended to bring 2 weeks of clothes). - viaggio di andata e ritorno in aereo con partenza da Roma o Milano per Atene e traghetto dal Pireo per Kalimnos. Sono inclusi anche i trasferimenti per raggiungere i porti dagli aero-porti di arrivo. Sarà comunque necessario contattare la nostra segreteria per l’organizzazione del viaggio (in aereo e traghetto) per raggiungere l’isola di Itaca.
Lavoro
I volontari recupereranno i rifiuti dal mare durante le nuotate lungo costa e li trasporteranno a riva. Al termine delle attività in acqua si progetteranno e realizzeranno delle opere artistiche, utilizzando solo i mate-riali recuperati dal mare e dalle coste. I rifiuti saranno assemblati dando sfogo alla fantasia per produrre nuove forme che raccontano l’esperienza vissuta in mare. Il lavoro artistico verrà poi documentato attraverso foto e video. Al termine dell’attività, le opere verranno smaltite seguendo le normative locali di raccolta differenziata. I volontari svolgeranno inoltre le attività di Marine and Beach Litter- indagine sulla quantità e tipologia di rifiuti raccolti in mare e sulle spiagge raggiunte durante le escursioni, al fine di contribuire alla Direttiva Europea sulla Marine Strategy. Tutte le attività del campo, il lavoro in mare e il lavoro artistico saranno documentate con una macchina fotografica compatta scafandrata messa a disposizione dall’ASD Swimtrekking, insieme a un computer. A fine campo sarà realizzato un video con tutti i contenuti delle attivi-tà svolte e consegnato ai partecipanti (munirsi di penna USB). Altro aspetto fondamentale del campo sarà il censimento di specie marine e delle meduse. L’OGS (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Speri-mentale proseguirà la collaborazione con Swimtrekking in un progetto Citizen Science estendendo per il 2025 la raccolta di informazioni su ogni avvistamento di meduse, tartarughe di mare, noci di mare e delfini.

Kalymnos, un'affascinante isola nel Dodecaneso, è conosciuta per la sua bellezza naturale, la tradizione della raccolta di spugne e la sua atmosfera vivace. Situata tra le isole di Kos e Leros, Kalymnos è una meta ideale per chi cerca avventura e relax in un ambiente autentico. L'isola è caratterizzata da paesaggi spettacolari, con montagne imponenti che si affacciano su acque cristalline. Le baie tranquille e le spiagge sabbiose rendono Kalymnos un luogo perfetto per godere del sole e della natura. Kalymnos è particolarmente adatta per chi ama vivere il mare. Le sue acque turchesi invitano a nuotare, fare snorkeling e immersioni. Gli appassionati di sport acquatici possono esplorare i fondali ricchi di flora e di fauna. Inoltre, l'isola offre numerose calette isolate, ideali per una nuotate tranquille lontano dalla folla. Oltre alle attività natatorie, Kalymnos è famosa per il suo arrampicata sportiva. Le sue scogliere offrono percorsi per tutti i livelli di esperienza, attirando scalatori da tutto il mondo. Dopo una giornata di avventure, i visitatori possono rilassarsi nelle taverne locali e assaporare piatti tipici della cucina greca.
Kalymnos è quindi una gemma del Dodecaneso che offre un perfetto equilibrio tra avventura e relax.
Attività formative
I volontari, adeguatamente informati in merito a flora e fauna marina avranno il compito di censire, catalogare e studiare i comportamenti delle meduse, noci di mare, tartarughe e delfini incontrate durante le attività di esplorazione lungo costa. I volontari seguiranno inoltre le direttive tema dei progetti Marine and Beach Litter per la conservazione dell'ambiente naturalistico.
Alloggio
Alkyonis Apartments sono dei confortevoli e spaziosi appartamenti situati sul versante ovest dell’isola a pochi metri dal mare.

Requisiti e materiali
L’attività dello Swimtrekking si basa sul nuoto. Sarà quindi fondamentale che tutti i volontari sappiano nuotare i due stili principali: lo stile libero e lo stile dorso. Specifichiamo inoltre che non sono assolutamente importanti i tempi di percorrenza e la tecnica individuale ma una certa abitudine all’attività fisica. Si richiede quindi una certa consuetudine con l’attività sportiva di qualsiasi genere sia pur blanda. Le persone molto se-dentarie non sono adatte a questo tipo di esperienza. L’attività di Swimtrekking migliora la propria tecnica individuale nel nuoto, sviluppa l’autocontrollo e la conoscenza di sé, fa conoscere una serie di tecniche quali l’apnea e il salvamento, studia la flora e la fauna, il moto ondoso, i venti e le correnti, rafforza e accresce le dinamiche del gruppo. Chiunque può quindi affrontare in maniera positiva l’esperienza di un campo Swimtrekking se interessato a sperimentare le conoscenze da noi proposte.

La ASD Swimtrekking è un’associazione sportiva dilettantistica affiliata alla UISP che da 30 anni organizza il trekking a nuoto in varie località del Mar Mediterraneo e del mondo.
L’attività dello Swimtrekking nasce con l’intento di esplorare e monitorare l’ambiente marino e si sostanzia nella realizzazione di corsi e stage, sia in piscina che in mare, le cui tematiche spaziano dalla tecnica dello Swimtrekking e dell’allenamento agli aspetti teorici e pratici della sicurezza in mare, della conoscenza della flora e della fauna, della tutela e salvaguardia dell'habitat marino, dello studio e della conoscenza dei venti, delle correnti e delle condizioni meteo-marine esclusivamente in funzione dell’attività stessa che porta. Le attività Swimtrekking coinvolgono bambini, adolescenti, famiglie, adulti e diversamente abili e seguono un progetto ambientale e sociale condotto da un team di educatori e tecnici del settore.

Questo campo si inserisce in un più ampio progetto di Legambiente Abruzzo dedicato alla valorizzazione e tutela della transumanza, riconosciuta dall’UNESCO come Patrimonio Culturale Immateriale dell'Umanità. Questa antica pratica pastorale ha modellato per secoli il paesaggio e l’identità dell’Abruzzo, intrecciandosi con la vita di agricoltori e pastori che hanno lasciato segni tangibili della loro storia lungo i tratturi e nei borghi.
Durante il campo, i volontari si occuperanno della pulizia e manutenzione degli antichi sentieri, un tempo parte delle vie tratturali, ripristinando percorsi storici che collegano Bomba con Monte Pallano e il Lago di Bomba. Inoltre, contribuiranno alla cura e valorizzazione di alcune aree del centro storico, attraverso interventi di recupero su spazi comuni e strutture caratteristiche.
Un’attenzione particolare sarà dedicata alla tutela delle architetture spontanee in pietra a secco, come muretti, ricoveri e strutture rurali, testimonianze di un sapere
Lavoro
La ristrutturazione del sentiero richiederà un impegno manuale da parte dei volontari, che lavoreranno per circa 6 ore al giorno. Le attività comprenderanno la pulizia e la sistemazione del percorso che collega Bomba a Monte Pallano fino al Lago di Bomba, con interventi mirati alla rimozione della vegetazione invasiva e al recupero di tratti interrotti.
Oltre alla manutenzione dei sentieri, i volontari contribuiranno anche alla cura di alcune aree del centro storico, migliorandone l’accessibilità e l’aspetto complessivo.
Infine, per facilitare la fruizione del percorso e valorizzare il territorio, verranno posizionati cartelli informativi e segnaletica lungo i sentieri e nei punti di maggiore interesse storico e naturalistico.

L'area di Monte Pallano e Lecceta d'Isca d'Archi è ricca di fascino, grazie ai suoi tesori naturali e archeologici. La sua posizione strategica e la presenza di sorgenti d'acqua hanno favorito l'insediamento dell'uomo nella zona: come testimoniano i resti dell'insediamento dell'antica Pallanum e le imponenti Mura Megalitiche, sono state rinvenute dagli archeologi tracce della presenza umana dal Paleolitico al Neolitico e al periodo ellenistico-romano. Attività formative
Durante il campo, oltre alle attività pratiche, verranno organizzati momenti formativi dedicati alla scoperta del territorio e del suo patrimonio storico, culturale e ambientale. I volontari avranno l'opportunità di approfondire la tradizione della transumanza, la storia del borgo e delle sue architetture spontanee, nonché l'importanza della tutela del paesaggio.
Saranno previsti incontri con esperti locali, escursioni guidate e attività di sensibilizzazione per comprendere il legame tra natura e comunità e il valore della conservazione ambientale. Questi momenti di formazione permetteranno ai partecipanti di acquisire nuove conoscenze e di vivere un’esperienza più consapevole e coinvolgente nel territorio.

I volontari saranno ospitati in appartamenti, con cucina autogestita.

Il circolo Legambiente Green Lake APS, nasce nel 2022 del sentimento comune di cittadini di uno stesso territorio diviso in più comuni. Il territorio focus è quello del Lago di Bomba, che merita molto di più rispetto alla situazione in cui riversa, sotto il punto di vista sociale, ambientale ed economico.I principali comuni , che vengono bagnati dalle acque del lago, sono 5 Bomba: Bomba, Colledimezzo, Pietraferrazzana, Villa Santa Maria e Pennadomo. Il territorio è un ampio spot di biodiversità, partendo dalla presenza di diverse aree SIC/ZPS/ZSC, istituite dalla rete natura 2000, il fiume insieme al lago è una delle principali rotte migratorie ed inoltre si è confinanti con il Parco Nazionale della Majella. Eliminare campanilismi e limitare azioni dannose, sono gli obiettivi del circolo.

Volunteers will help in guiding student in studies, setting a better environment to enhance a better learning environment. Be ready to provide attentive care from 09:00 to 15:00 on Monday to Friday. It is also important to have nice exchange with several children sleeping in the school building! Some group activities will be arranged by the school and teachers.

Location: The school is located in Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur. It is located in the city, so you can sometimes enjoy café, night market, etc. in the evening (but not till too late!). Leisure: Visitation to the other community school around, local sports, visit around Kuala Lumpur city, and the cultural heritage of Malaysia, cultural exchange events.

Volunteers will stay in the school. Meal will be provided. Sleeping bag is necessary (mat is also recommended since the floor is hard). Water is very valuable, so the volunteers should be aware of not wasting it when washing the clothes and taking a bath.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Malaysian Organization of Volunteer Exchange (MOVE) since 2018 in this place. MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) is a non-profit organization that caters to the needs of children in and around Chow Kit. They run two drop-in centers in Chow Kit and one safe home for children who are in need of temporary guardianship. YCK operate in partnership with Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. YCK developed out of Nur Salam and was incorporated in 2011. The past workcamps since 2018 Sep. have been successful and in 2024, 48 vols. from Japan, Mexico and Italy joined 4 workcamps with creating great impact!
