The main task is harvesting various berries and vegetables such as rhubarb, currants, raspberries, Japanese quince, then helping juice making and products packaging. But there is also weed control and fertilization with mulch in plantations, mowing grass, cutting branches, removal of bushes and wood chipping, assistance in the construction of various small buildings, vegetable beds and other necessary structures on the site, painting as well. And there is ongoing work of planting seeds. Working hours are 5-7 hours a day for 5 days a week. The exact work depends on season and partly on weather conditions.

LocationThe farm is located in Kanepi municipality just 11 km from Otepaa and 47 km from Tartu. When coming from Tartu, choose a bus to Voru and get off at the Saverna stop. Buses stop there quite often, travel takes about 40 minutes. Also you can come through Otepaa. Knowing you arrival time and place hosts will pick you up from there. Bus information is on www.tpilet.ee or www.luxexpress.ee. The farm is located in the tiny village of Aiaste. It is important to understand that it is calm and quiet place (there are no events in the village). But with nice weather, it is possible to watch animals like deer on the field, foxes in a strawberry bed and storks. While sitting by the fire at night, enjoy stars in the sky and listen to the nature sounds by animals such as badgers or raccoons.Leisure timeIt is possible to swim, make a fire, play volleyball, disc golf and other games or go for mushroom picking if you like it. There is a swimming lake in Valgjarv 4 km away. You can use various hiking trails. If interested you can visit nearby farms where you can get to know horses, sheep and other animals and see many other interesting things. Farm life conditions are simple but decent. Sleeping is in a separate house in beds. Bed sheets, blankets and pillows are provided, so no need for sleeping bag. There is outdoor kitchen with all necessary equipment. Volunteers can make breakfast and lunch themselves, and dinner will be prepared by and taken with the family. Washing is in the sauna. There is a dry organic toilet. Volunteers have to take care of their surroundings by cleaning up after themselves.

Organic farm Kingu is one of them. This is a berry, fruit and vegetable micro-farm in the South Estonia. The main berry crops are raspberries, various currants, gooseberries, Japanese quince, garlic and rhubarb. Everything is grown in an environmentally sustainable way using straw and hay. The farm promotes sustainable lifestyle, and this camp is proposed for volunteers who appreciate and share its values, want to learn more and to help hard working people in country side.NB It is possible to stay for several shifts in a row.

Cancer is a global problem. The 12th International Oncology Days is a large symposium that lasts for a week and hosts politicians, ambassadors and representatives of major healthcare organizations. International Oncology Days platform is the largest civil society event in Turkey, organized to raise public awareness in the fight against cancer. Volunteers will support the preparation of this event and take on various responsibilities during the event. Along with 24 IVS volunteers, nearly 100 local and international volunteers will take part in this event. Workshops will be held with both professionals and patients on many topics such as awareness walks, health policies and youth participation, and patient rights.
In this event supported by social workshops, you will learn a lot about health and cancer and will be able to make a great contribution to the fight against cancer.

Mus is a disadvantaged region located in the east of Turkey. However, it hosts many historical and natural beauties. There will be many social and cultural activities waiting for you in this project that you will participate in the city center. The camping park is equipped with multiple hygiene facilities, including toilets, hot showers and a tank for washing clothes by hand - bring washing soap/ detergent if you wish to wash clothes, or you can buy it in the supermarket nearby. This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

Amarante is a small town in the North of Portugal, part of Porto district (60km far from Porto to the interior) with 12 thousand inhabitants (in the city center). It is a quite famous city for tourism, culture, and wine production. Indeed, is quite near (18km) the Oporto wine region. Is crossed by TEmega River (one of the rivers ending at Douro River that crosses Porto till the Atlantic Ocean) and it is on the valley of one of the most important Portuguese mountains, MarEpoundo (1450m). Participants will be accommodated in shared rooms (4 participants each) of Casa da Juventude de Amarante. Casa da Juventude de Amarante is in the city center of Amarante (just 10m walking distance from the bus station) and has its own kitchen, WC and showers. In terms of food, our youth centre has a bar\restaurant proposal for the volunteers (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) always taking into consideration our aims (healthy food with organic and vegetarian ingredients). Laundry available (self-service). This youth centre has free wireless.

Based on the time of the year the volunteers will be working during the day or at night in the months of August and September from 20:00 to 08:00. Depending on the number of turtles that come ashore, two teams might be formed among the volunteers. In this way, each group will be taking turns, working one night, and taking the next night off for recovery. In addition, the weekends are also spared for resting. Some of the activities to be performed are:
1. Finding adult turtles and collecting their eggs.
2. Moving the eggs to a protected place called Vivero.
3. Releasing newborn baby turtles into the sea.
4. Patrolling the beaches at night.
5. Making some reconstruction in the most important turtle camps of the region.
Please consider that the schedule is subject to change depending on the weather conditions and the condition of the sea turtles and it is possible to work with crocodiles in case there is no work with turtles, this can happen mostly in the months of January and February. The coordinator or the camp leader will be informing you regarding your work schedule.

Volunteers are invited to help with the care and maintenance of this social centre and its various areas. There is work outside and inside: The meadow orchard must be cleared of bushes and, depending on the weather, apples can be collected and processed into apple juice. The work in the organic vegetable garden also depends on the weather, usually the volunteers help with the harvest of fruit and vegetables. In the castle itself, there is painting and cleaning work to be done to maintain the building. Encounters with kids and people of the region are foreseen. Overall, there is a wide variety of tasks - something for everyone!

Bedheim castle is located in the west of Thuringia, close to the Bavarian border. Next bigger town is Coburg (28 km away). Bedheim is surrounded by the extraordinary beautiful Franconian landscape.
We may learn more about natural beauty of the environment. We can make excursions to places of cultural and historical interest (e.g. Weimar, the city of Goethe and the concentration camp Buchenwald). We can have discussions and lectures about German history, society, culture and politics (the German East-West border was only 9 km away from Bedheim). There will be the possibility to encounter with young people of the region and getting to know more about the countries of the participants.

Bedheim castle offers a simple group accommodation in a seminar house. Beds will be provided. Meals will be prepared by the group (less meat but a lot of very good vegetables and fruits from the nursery). Warm water is provided from a solar collector.

Some basic knowledge of German or English is recommended. Please bring rain and working clothes as well as swimsuits, a sleeping bag, slippers, towels and warm pullovers with you. You can also bring a map, pictures or special food items from your country.

Bedheim castle was first mentioned in the year 1169 and was destroyed and reconstructed several times in its long history. During the last 30 years, the castle became a sociocultural center for this remote region. Currently it offers meeting places for social and cultural initiatives. With historical rooms, the garden café, various types of gardens and being surrounded by beautiful nature, it is a perfect place to meet with friends, to enjoy a good piece of cake or even to celebrate a wedding.
Since 1992, this association has been organizing workcamps. Volunteers enjoy spending their time to meet and work together with the inhabitants. An organic garden, a painter's studio, a goldsmith's workshop and an architect's office are the basis for the existence of the residents. There is even a small castle museum, where you can admire the bones of prehistoric dinosaurs, once living in this region. Last but not least: nice cats and dogs are waiting to be petted by the volunteers!
The aim of this project is to create an atmosphere where people with or without disabilities may come, live and work together without any prejudice against handicap, nationality, or religion.

This project is actively working for SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with NPO WHITE CANVAS since 2024, a Non Profit Organization to empower mentally challenged people through the power of art. It was established by Kyoko who was a very active members of NICE with a lot of workcamp experiences in Togo, etc. and the company who had been working with her. Then more members joined when the workshop was about to open. They organize the workshop "TIME WARP" that is a workplace for adults with special needs for weaving, pottery, small garden and embroidery work. They all love art and craft, having big interests on humans. They don't stick in specific philosophies, but anthroposophy is one of their guides. Help to improve the health and lifespan of trees and contribute to increasing biodiversity. You will work with the other volunteers on an extensively used orchard with over 100 different fruit trees. These fruit orchards have characterised the landscape for centuries and are still used today for both fruit (apples and pears) and hay. Your task is to cut off branches. You will receive a detailed introduction, as there is a lot to consider. You will be equipped with tools and climb ladders to reach the uppermost parts of the tree. There are probably still a few fruits hanging on the trees, so your task would be to harvest these first.
The task is important as trimming trees increases their lifespan and old trees are a perfect habitat for various animals. In general, orchard meadows play an outstanding role for biodiversity in Central Europe and are important for the future. They are among the most species-rich habitats in Central Europe. You will work 5 days per week, 2 days off.

The camp will take place in a single settlement approx. 10 km west of Schwäbisch Hall. The landscape in this area is dominated by forests and steep hills. Only small hamlets interrupt the nature, which makes it a perfect region for plenty of different species but also for hiking. At your camp site there is a barbecue area, several hiking trails, a special cultural landscape trail and a swimming lake (if it's still warm enough) that can be reached on a short hike.
You can also reach a lot by bus: There is a brewery that can be visited; the old town of Schwäbisch Hall has museums, shops and some traditional German historical buildings.

You will spend the night on a youth campsite about 50 metres from the orchard (run by the local forestry administration). It will be an outdoor adventure, because in October the weather is already very autumnal, which means it can also rain, the temperatures drop and the hours of sunshine become fewer. There will be showers and toilets in a house, as well as a barn where you can set up your lounge. If it pours with rain, you can also spend the night here if necessary. There is an outdoor gas cooker for cooking. You don't need to bring a tent, but you do need a sleeping bag, a sleeping mat, warm, weatherproof clothing and sturdy shoes. So if you want to be active in increasing biodiversity, love nature and enjoy simple accommodation, almost like a kind of survival camp, then this camp is perfect for you.
Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

Please be aware that ticks can be an issue when you spend a lot of time outdoors in natural areas in Germany - like in this camp. This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) , organized together with MINO COOLJAPAN, since 2025 in Mino city, Gifu prefecture. At this workcamp, volunteers will support for the children's camp, which is held on 10/4-10/5. About 20 children from 8 to 15 years old would be participated. Children in Mino City do not have many opportunities to interact with people from other countries. This camp will be a valuable opportunity for children to understand the diversity of the world, grow together, and cooperate. By communicating with volunteers from different cultures and languages, we expect the children to improve their communication skills, including non-verbal, in order to communicate effectively while respecting the other's culture and background. By building a Bamboo House together will be also great opportunity to develop the ability to cooperate with each other across national and cultural boundaries for kids! We also hope that by experiencing local traditional culture together with children, children will gain confidence in local culture.

The aim is to rehabilitate part of the commune's agricultural land, to enable winegrowers to set up and produce wine. Through this project,, you are enabling the commune, the AFPL and the winegrowers to move forward with the project to re-establish a vineyard in the high Cevennes. The worksite will take place during the vinification of the first harvests, so you can also learn about the wine-making process. The aim of this project is to promote local know-how and contribute to the rehabilitation of agricultural land abandoned at the end of the 19th century during the rural exodus.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

• Nandi people are classified among the legendary Kalenjin speaking people that occupy the expansive Rift Valley province. Rift Valley province is characterized by humid, hot and dry weather conditions in the months of December, January, February and March and cold and wet in the months of April, May, June and July. But in August, September, October and November the climate is warm and cool which is a very comforting climate. It is one of the 42 recognized ethnic communities in Kenya known for their hospitality. Nandi’s are farmers in nature practicing mixed farming, keeping animals and growing of food crops. Nandi district host the Nandi forest; Nandi Rock which is the single largest rock in East Africa. The total area of Nandi district in which 40% of the total land is a forest.
• Majority of the populace live on the hills, which offers cool and conducive environment for agriculture. Kamagap Primary School is located on the high lands where climatic conditions are favorable for meaningful agricultural activities and community members are very hard working.
• Kamagap Primary School is located in Kamagap, Kibwareng Sub-Location in Aldai Division, Nandi South district, Rift Valley Province in the Republic of Kenya; some parts of Rift Valley are sometimes referred to as semi-arid zone.

The Ecocycle association is a third place which develops a participatory animation project on the territory of the municipality of Saint Amand de Coly and its surroundings. Recently, aging and depopulation of the area is getting very serious as well as many other rural villages in Japan. They expect the workcamp to activate local traditional festivals related to Shintoism, which is Japanese traditional religion. This event is combined with 2 events called “Bamboo Lantern Festival” and "Gaku-uchi" which locals play Japanese drums and flute with walking around the village to wish for the productiveness of grain. Local people want us to know their traditional cultures to be succeeded to the next generation.
