This National Park is in the western part of the Himalayan Mountains in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh is characterized by high alpine peaks, alpine meadows and riverine forests. The 90,540 ha property includes the upper mountain glacial and snow meltwater sources of several rivers, and the catchments of water supplies that are vital to millions of down stream users. The GHNPCA protects the monsoon-affected forests and alpine meadows of the Himalayan front ranges. GHNP was awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 2014, in recognition of its outstanding significance for biodiversity conservation. The park protects over 1,000 plant species, including many medicinal herbs, 31 mammal species and 209 bird species, as well as amphibians, reptiles and insects.
The Camp:
The camp will focus on the volunteers to understand the social and cultural aspects of the community they work. The volunteers will be given experience through interactions, workshops exchange of ideas, need analysis with the support of team leader, planning and be a part of completing the scheduled work with the group of volunteers for the benefit of the community and a
learning experience for the volunteers.
The camp will consist of community service, Learning, Culture and evaluation.

For five years, Études et Chantiers has been welcoming international volunteers at the Fosse Maussoin Park, classified as Natura 2000 due to the presence of the Mar Pic. Tu seras hébergé·e sur le site de La Fontaine aux Images, à proximité du parc de la Mairie et du lac. Tu camperas près du chapiteau principal et tu auras l’opportunité de participer aux événements organisés par l’association. Le site se situe à seulement 20 minutes à pied du chantier.
Au-delà des temps de chantier, les bénévoles participent ensemble à l’organisation de la vie collective. Souvent réparti·e·s en équipes, ils·elles élaborent les menus, participent aux courses, préparent les repas et s’assurent de la propreté des espaces communs.
Véritable acteur·ice de ton expérience, tu participeras aussi à la prise de décisions concernant les activités collectives et l’organisation du quotidien !
You will be hosted at the La Fontaine aux Images site, near the town hall park and the lake. You will camp near the main marquee and have the opportunity to participate in events organized by the association. The site is just a 20-minute walk from the work site.
Beyond the working hours, volunteers come together to organise daily life on the camp. Often divided into teams, they plan menus, help with the shopping, prepare meals, and ensure the cleanliness of shared spaces.
Fully involved in shaping your experience, you will also take part in decision-making regarding group activities and daily organization!

Come to our camp if you feel that…
Social intervention, the development of youth projects and leisure and free time activities contribute to the promotion of meeting spaces for families, children and young people, through workshops, the implementation of programs that help improve communication and intergenerational relations. In this field of volunteering, participants will design and lead specific programs for children and young people, providing mutual knowledge for the population residing in the municipalities of Estremera and Belmonte de Tajo.
Why participate in our field?
In this volunteering camp, participants will experience different experiences for fifteen days, plan activities with children and young people, and have the opportunity to learn about the history and heritage of Belmonte de Tajo, Estremera and the community of municipalities in the area. You will collaborate with young people from different parts of Spain and the world, which will allow you to create an international network of contacts and friends. You will participate in projects that will be developed in municipalities with fewer resources.
For 15 days, you will be able to enjoy a special vacation, meeting people from other regions and countries.
Tasks specific to the field of volunteering
Volunteers will have various tasks:
• Training and development. Volunteers will spend time in training sessions each morning to put training into practice and develop the skills needed to work with children and young people.
• They will design and organize leisure and free time activities for young people in the municipalities in which they will intervene: Belmonte de Tajo and Estremera
• They will plan activities for children, applying educational methodologies.
• Sports and cultural activities will be held for children in the municipalities

During this workcamp, you will actively participate in the life of the Maison and its various activities: collective living (cooking, cleaning, organization, etc.), intercultural exchanges (meeting with the local community and other volunteers from the association), etc.
The aim of this project is, through exchanges and intergenerational knowledge transfer, to raise awareness about sustainable development. The work will mainly involve maintaining the Maison?s vegetable garden (seeding, transplanting, weeding, watering, harvesting, processing). This project will be the first to be co-hosted with the local group "Transition Village Gokayama" from 2025, and is actively working on SDG15 (protecting the richness of the land)."Houbikiso", a former lodging facility near the World Heritage site Suganuma Gassho-style Village, has been repurposed as a place to learn and practice "living in harmony with the Gokayama climate," "living using the wisdom of the past in a Gassho-style building," and "living in which people, animals, and plants coexist and circulate." The hosts are making small changes to the place and building the community. Together with volunteers from Japan and around the world, they hope to pass on the local cultural traditions to future generations. Currently, due to the aging population, there are few people who can take care of the thatched roofs with their history (which are grown on the slopes of the mountain) or grow traditional vegetables.

The main task is harvesting various berries and vegetables such as rhubarb, currants, raspberries, Japanese quince, then helping juice making and products packaging. But there is also weed control and fertilization with mulch in plantations, mowing grass, cutting branches, removal of bushes and wood chipping, assistance in the construction of various small buildings, vegetable beds and other necessary structures on the site, painting as well. And there is ongoing work of planting seeds. Working hours are 5-7 hours a day for 5 days a week. The exact work depends on season and partly on weather conditions.

LocationThe farm is located in Kanepi municipality just 11 km from Otepaa and 47 km from Tartu. When coming from Tartu, choose a bus to Voru and get off at the Saverna stop. Buses stop there quite often, travel takes about 40 minutes. Also you can come through Otepaa. Knowing you arrival time and place hosts will pick you up from there. Bus information is on www.tpilet.ee or www.luxexpress.ee. The farm is located in the tiny village of Aiaste. It is important to understand that it is calm and quiet place (there are no events in the village). But with nice weather, it is possible to watch animals like deer on the field, foxes in a strawberry bed and storks. While sitting by the fire at night, enjoy stars in the sky and listen to the nature sounds by animals such as badgers or raccoons.Leisure timeIt is possible to swim, make a fire, play volleyball, disc golf and other games or go for mushroom picking if you like it. There is a swimming lake in Valgjarv 4 km away. You can use various hiking trails. If interested you can visit nearby farms where you can get to know horses, sheep and other animals and see many other interesting things. Farm life conditions are simple but decent. Sleeping is in a separate house in beds. Bed sheets, blankets and pillows are provided, so no need for sleeping bag. There is outdoor kitchen with all necessary equipment. Volunteers can make breakfast and lunch themselves, and dinner will be prepared by and taken with the family. Washing is in the sauna. There is a dry organic toilet. Volunteers have to take care of their surroundings by cleaning up after themselves.

Lohmen is a peaceful village in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, surrounded by the Upahl-Lenzen Nature Reserve. With around 850 inhabitants, it offers a tranquil, community-oriented atmosphere and a variety of recreational opportunities. Visitors can explore the labyrinth, get active on sports fields, or discover the archaeological nature trail. A nearby lake also invites for swimming. Lohmen combines nature, history, and relaxation, making it ideal for those who want to enjoy rural life in a culturally rich environment.
LEISURE:
Volunteers can explore the surroundings by water or go swimming together. Excursions to other cities, such as Rostock, are also possible.

ACCOMMODATION:
Volunteers will be accommodated in a youth club located in a former kindergarten. The accommodation is simple and functional. Outside, there is a fire pit that invites everyone to gather in the evenings. The volunteers should bring sleeping bag and mattress pad with them, as the accommodation only provides mattresses but no blankets.
FOOD:
Meals will be prepared by the volunteers themselves, who will contribute their own recipes, creating a colorful mix of traditional specialties and new creations.

SEEDS volunteers may carry out some gardening activities as well and possibly make and maintain walking paths. Well maintained paths enable people to visit the island without damaging it and this important work also helps to improve safety for visitors. Depending on the advance of the project and weather conditions, volunteers may have other possible tasks such as checking up and repairing garden furniture.The working day normally runs from 09:00 - 17:00 with breaks for lunch and coffee; however, please be prepared for some flexibility due to the nature of Iceland s changeable weather, as we may not be able to perform some of the tasks or activities planned. The temperature in late August can drop during the evenings. Volunteers should have motivation to work outside and work in all kinds of weather, as it can get cold and rainy. The working plan is flexible and it will depend on the needs of our host. No previous experience is necessary.Since most of the work will take place outdoors, it is recommended to bring warm and/or waterproof clothes (overcoats, scarves, gloves and hats) walking shoes/boots.

LOCATION: Vioey or Wood Island is the largest (1.7 km) island in the Kollafjorour Bay, just outside Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. The island is covered by many species of plants and at least 30 species of breeding birds have been counted here. Vioey was inhabited soon after the settlement of Iceland in the 10th century. In the beginning of the 20th century, around 100 people lived there. Today the island is uninhabited.There is a regular ferry connection between the island and the harbour of Reykjavik. The island is only a few hundred metres away from the city and the trip takes a few minutes. This makes Vioey so special; it is a peaceful place, very close to the busy city life of the capital. There are hiking and cycling paths around the island and there is no motor traffic allowed. It also features intriguing sculptural artwork, amongst them all nine pairs of basalt pillars that comprise Richard Serra s work Afangar and Yoko Ono s Imagine Peace column, a tower of light, which is supported by the widow of John Lennon. Other places of interest on Vioey are related to archaeological research.

ACCOMMODATION: SEEDS volunteers will be lodged in a local house on Vioey Island, in shared rooms. The facilities are equipped with a kitchen, shower, and a washing machine. Everyone is expected to show consideration for their companions. Participants will sleep in shared rooms. Please bring your own sleeping bag.Volunteers will receive food supplies and will be in charge of cooking and cleaning. Please note the food SEEDS provides will be vegetarian. Do not forget to bring some traditional/typical food, drinks, recipes, music, games or movies from your country for the intercultural evening. Please be aware some items or ingredients may be expensive in Iceland and you will need to buy them yourselves or bring them from your country.

WORK/PROJECT: SEEDS volunteers will have the opportunity to work on the historical island of Vioey for the 19th year in a row with our host, the city of Reykjavik. Vioey is a popular destination during the summer among Icelandic and foreign visitors. Volunteers will help prepare the island for the winter season. Volunteers will beautify the surroundings by cleaning up the area, especially along the coastline, for instance by hand-picking garbage or collecting trash blown by the wind or brought by the sea to the shores and surroundings.

You will have two main tasks on this site: Initially, you'll give new life to the building's shutters by stripping, repairing, repainting and refitting them. Next, you'll be helping to create a space dedicated to bicycle repairs. After clearing and preparing the area, you will work with the association's employees to design the layout of the new workshop. It will be a place where local residents can come and repair their bikes with the help of a specialist volunteer.
Secondly, you'll be taking part in the association's new season and the reopening of the public. You'll be leading workshops to help people discover cycling and encourage soft mobility. You'll be helping visitors repair their bikes, giving them advice, and offering introductory courses suitable for everyone.No previous skills are required: you'll learn how to clear the undergrowth, sand, paint and repair bicycles throughout the project. Le Moulin Solidaire is an association rooted in the Haute-Saintonge region, in the commune of Cercoux, and extending into the surrounding area. In addition to its activities - recycling centre, library, solidarity shop and bicycle repair shop - it organises a wide range of events for local residents. This year, the association is joining forces with the Maison des Bateleurs to host an international workcamp. For a fortnight, volunteers from all over the world will be helping to renovate the building's shutters and create a bicycle repair area. The second week will be punctuated by bicycle workshops and other collective activities, encouraging intercultural exchanges and the sharing of know-how.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Kyodo Gakusha since 2000, a cooperative community where people with various backgrounds such as mentally disadvantaged, people who are tired of city life, who want to learn farming, who want to live in the nature, etc. They have 5 communities in Japan incl. Maki and Tateya and grow animals and vegetables in ecological, organic way. Maki is located in a very isolated area (not accessible for cars and we have to walk 4 km in the mountains!), so it once became an abandon village in 1970s and then, was revived by Kyodo Gakusha. Over 10 people were living till several years ago, but less and less in these years (almost nobody in the winter), so vols. are needed even more! Tateya is located on the hilly (less than Maki, but still a bit isolated) area where 30-40 members live and mainly do rice farming as well as growing cows and chicken.

This project is actively working for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with the local group since 2019. This village has been welcoming "Ohenro (pilgrims)" who visit 88 temples in Shikoku since long time ago. The pilgrims walk through this village before visiting "Kakurin-ji temple"; the 20th temple out of 88 temples of the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage. However, there are problems which should be solved such as aging and depopulation of the community these days, and locals haven't been able to find solutions for those problems. On the other hand, since more and more people from overseas visit for the Shikoku Ohenro Pilgrimage locals are trying to find new ways for "omotenashi (hospitality)". Volunteers who have been working on the project have come up with ideas for the reuse of vacant and abandoned land. Local host Oi have finally decided that they can freely renovate and modify the vacant houses. Moreover, the site is in a good location, with mountains, a river and fields. It is up to the volunteers from now on to decide how to develop the project. The aim is for the volunteer members to clean up the abandoned houses and village landscape and transform it into a village that people will want to visit to take photos, as it used to be a village where people came and went since ancient times.

The aim of this workcamp is to preserve the natural reserve area surrounding called "Fonts del Rio Algar." More concretely, the work will be mainly dedicated to parks and gardens maintenance or ?arboretum?: removing the over-grown grass, weeding some parts of the grasslands and the edge of the woods, maintaining footpaths. Volunteers will also take part in the clean-up of some areas of the reserve where building waste has been found, and if time allows it, they will carry out some painting works around the centre.
There will be other additional tasks to change the daily routine of the volunteers. Volunteers might participate in projects using recycled materials, such as sculptures, murals, mosaics, crafts, artistic activities, or other initiatives requested by the local town hall. Also, here may be a day of social work with the youngsters of the town in the local youth center, depending on availability and planning.

The municipality is located in the province of Alicante, in the northern part of the Marina Baixa region, 10 km from the coast and 42 km from the city of Alicante.
Algar Waterfalls at only 15 km from Benidorm and 3 km from the center of Callosa. This area was declared a Wetland protected by the Valencian Government. It is a park about the importance of water as an environmental resource, economical and cultural. The visit is a route through a circuit of 1.5 km in length along, where you can walk through the bed of the river Algar, see the spectacular waterfalls and the numerous sources, the "tolls" (pools of water) where you can take refreshing swims in crystal clear water, the old dam, the imposing century-old canal and ditches still in use.
Apart from the Waterfalls, there are other interesting sites in Callosa like the cultural heritage of the town, old narrow streets in the center. Also, there are several beautiful hiking routes around Callosa. One of the most spectacular places is El Fort de Bernia.
Not far from Callosa, you can visit a town called Guadalest which has an ancient castle. Also, Altea, another beautiful town near the sea can be visited. The beach is not far from the house and somedays, the volunteers can take a trip to the beach of Altea.

In a small rural house with basic conditions, some kilometres away from the village centre, with 2 different rooms. No need to bring a mattress but bring lower sheets and a summer sleeping bag are necessary. The centre is equipped with showers and WC.
The food is provided by our campleaders and the volunteers will be cooking in groups by the guidance of our campleader.
Please keep in mind that during the summer, weather conditions may not be optimal due to the high temperatures.

If we don't recieve the fee and the flight/bus tickets of the volunteer, we will consider that she/he will not attending to project and we will give opportunity to other volunteers that are on the waiting list.
This season, we have secured a partnership with Beniconnect, a transport company that will provide direct transfers for volunteers attending TEEN workcamps in Alicante province. Participants will be picked up directly from the airport arrivals and taken to the workcamp location in a private minibus (8 to 14 people per group).
In previous years, transportation has been a significant challenge, as public connections to the locations where our workcamps take place are not very reliable. We believe that this new solution will make the journey much smoother, safer, and more comfortable for everyone.

The Springhornhof Foundation in the Lüneburg Heath is the funding organisation for one of Europe's pioneering landscape art projects. Renowned artists from all over the world have created more than forty works of land art here since the 1970s. Most of the works in this ‘open museum’ are freely accessible and blend gently into the natural surroundings. Others make a clearly visible statement in the landscape. In the first week of the workcamp, your group will help with restoration work on some of the artworks - repainting, cleaning, trimming bushes, small repairs.
In the second week, you will get creative together with the artists Tanja Bächlein, Arne Bunk and Karin Missy Paule Haenlein. In teams of three, you will go out with cameras and microphones and produce small experimental films, photos and sounds on the sculptures. The recordings will then be edited and cut into short reels. At the end, we will celebrate a small landscape art film festival together.

The Eifel is Germany's youngest volcanic region. There are more mineral springs and volcanoes here than anywhere else in Germany.
The project helps, for example, to create climate-resilient forests. Young plants from last year's reforestation are being released on some farms. In most cases these are beech, oak, chestnut, sycamore and cherry trees. Many of these plants are covered to protect them from browsing by deer. You will also check these.
At the Glaadt castle ruins in Jünkerath, you will remove vegetation from the wall to protect it from decay. Removing fences in some nature conservation areas is also on the agenda.
Another major topic involves school activities at the Realschul-Plus locations in Jünkerath and Stadtkyll. In Jünkerath, we are launching an outdoor fitness park and redesigning the green classroom. In Hillesheim you will be helping in designing the school yard. Here we will also be in contact with pupils and teachers, so you will be able to meet some locals.

Jünkerath is located in the middle of the Volcanic Eifel. There is an optional hike to the maars (Saturdays) and an excursion to the Rursee lake (Wednesdays). There are numerous excursion possibilities, e.g. to Cologne, Trier and Luxembourg City. Your accommodation, the forest youth camp, is in an idyllic but secluded location in the middle of the forest - ideal for all nature lovers!

Children and parents will work together when possible (e.g. helping with cooking, collecting wood, harvesting vegetables and gardening). Work will be organized in two groups. The first one will be working in a nature reserve located 3km away from the campsite, their work will consist of mowing grass, raking and collecting grass. Please note that the meadows can be very wet; bring waterproof working shoes (or rubber boots), working gloves, a raincoat and a hat to protect yourself from the sun. The second group will be working on the campsite preparing food, collecting wood, doing maintenance tasks or working in the nearby forest.

Location: The workcamp takes place in the Bohemian Forest near Stara Knizeci Hut. The campsite is located in the valley of the Celni stream, an isolated part of the village of Lesna in the Bohemian Forest near the German border. There is limited phone coverage. The nearest bus stop is Stara Knizeci Hut and the nearest bigger town is Tachov where you can find ATMs, pharmacies, doctors etc. The campsite is located about 30 minutes walk from the nearest bus station. Bus runs once a day to Tachov.
Leisure time: The main activity is hiking in the surrounding countryside. You can visit the ruins of the Zahaji castle or go on trips to nearby towns (e.g. Marianske Lazne). The project is situated on the border with Germany; a trip to Germany could be an option. Besides, you can try archery, play games or experience an Indian sauna. If you have any games, musical instruments or any other activity you could share or teach the group in the campsite conditions, you are welcome to bring them.
Study part: It includes evening discussions about climate, environment, sustainability and sustainable camps around the fire. You will have the unique opportunity to try archery, participate in fun games and learn to recognize the stars. Also, as you will be living in close contact with nature, you will improve your camping skills and learn a lot about local fauna and flora.

Volunteers will be accommodated in tee-pees with a fireplace in the centre. You will sleep on wooden pads and mattresses stuffed with hay. Nights in the forest might be very cold, even frosty, so bring a very warm sleeping bag, camping mat and some warm clothes. You will bathe in a small river with cold water next to the campsite, the toilets are outdoors. Everyone will cook together as a group on a fireplace. The food is only vegetarian (or vegans / gluten free variants). You can charge your cell phone with a small solar-electricity generator. There is limited phone coverage and no Wifi.

The workcamp is organized in cooperation with EUROSOLAR. EUROSOLAR promotes renewable energies and a sustainable lifestyle; it engages in youth environmental education and organizes environmental summer camps for children, youth and families. The workcamp takes place in a remote but exceptionally beautiful, hilly area of the Bohemian Forest, near the western border of the Czech Republic. The campsite is isolated from civilization volunteers are welcome to try a basic and active lifestyle in the forest. The main goal is to help maintain meadows in a nature-protected area, maintain the campsite and enjoy nature. At this workcamp, you will actively contribute to the achievement of UN SDG15 Life on Land.

Lavoro
In the first week, you will work with local foresters in the wood of Jena. You tasks will include various environmental works, e.g. maintaining footpaths, lookout points and shelters. Your help will be needed for different nature protection projects. Please be prepared for environmental works to help the rangers only outside.
In the second week, the volunteers will help the environmental organisation ?Fuchsturmgesellschaft? to chop down trees for a better visibility and let a bright landscape appear from the way leading to the tower and maintenance work in the flora-fauna habitat. Your help will be needed in the Education Path; also, huts need renovation or maintenance.
This is a camp for nature lovers! Work can be physically challenging at times.

Jena is with about 100.000 inhabitants the 2nd biggest city in Thuringen and is situated on the banks of the river Saale, surrounded by white and grey calcite mountains in the eastern part of Thuringen. Jena is famous for the high-tech Zeiss Optical Instruments, the Schiller University and the Zeiss-Planetarium, which is the oldest continuously operating planetarium in the world. The city of Jena and its surroundings present many good opportunities for recreation and relaxing.
Leisure Time:
Please notice that Jena city is far away from your accommodation, so better be ready to spend lots of time by yourselves, enjoying games / sports and outdoor activities. We can go hiking and have cycling tours in this beautiful area. We can also make trips to other cities, for example we can travel to Weimar, which is well known as the workplace of the poets Goethe and Schiller. You?ll be able to learn more about history, as we could visit the former concentration camp Buchenwald. The student city of Jena offers many cultural possibilities to explore. Free-time activities will mainly depend on your ideas and wishes.

Accommodation:
Volunteers will be accommodated in an isolated hostel on a hill in the Western part of Jena. Your only neighbours will be the woodland animals. All bed linen will be provided. We have the chance to have campfires, play ping-pong and volleyball, to go swimming and so on. A washing machine is available. There will be no internet access in the accommodation.
Food:
Full board, you will get the possibility to cook traditional meals occasionally. Please be prepared for typical German food. You will have cold breakfast and supper (bread!) and a warm meal for dinner.

Volunteers will help in guiding student in studies, setting a better environment to enhance a better learning environment. Be ready to provide attentive care from 09:00 to 15:00 on Monday to Friday. It is also important to have nice exchange with several children sleeping in the school building! Some group activities will be arranged by the school and teachers.

Location: The school is located in Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur. It is located in the city, so you can sometimes enjoy café, night market, etc. in the evening (but not till too late!). Leisure: Visitation to the other community school around, local sports, visit around Kuala Lumpur city, and the cultural heritage of Malaysia, cultural exchange events.
Alloggio
Volunteers will stay in the school. Meal will be provided. Sleeping bag is necessary (mat is also recommended since the floor is hard). Water is very valuable, so the volunteers should be aware of not wasting it when washing the clothes and taking a bath.

This project is actively working for SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDGs 10 (Reduced Inequalities), organized together with Malaysian Organization of Volunteer Exchange (MOVE) since 2018 in this place. MOVE is a workcamp NGO founded in 2006. Yayasan Chow Kit (YCK) is a non-profit organization that caters to the needs of children in and around Chow Kit. They run two drop-in centers in Chow Kit and one safe home for children who are in need of temporary guardianship. YCK operate in partnership with Ministry of Women and Child Welfare. YCK developed out of Nur Salam and was incorporated in 2011. The past workcamps since 2018 Sep. have been successful and in 2024, 48 vols. from Japan, Mexico and Italy joined 4 workcamps with creating great impact!
